Content
Writer – Articles & Features
Responsibilities
- Write clear, accurate coverage on spaceflight and aviation.
- Produce mission previews, news breakdowns, and feature articles.
- Work with the team to fact-check and meet deadlines.
What we’re looking for
- Writing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to research and cite credible sources.
- General understanding of major launch providers is a plus.
On-Air
Live Host – Launch & News Coverage
Responsibilities
- Host livestreams and talking-head coverage.
- Provide commentary, context, and viewer engagement.
- Coordinate timing and coverage structure with the team.
What we’re looking for
- Comfortable on camera with a clear speaking voice.
- Ability to improvise and keep energy up on stream.
- Basic understanding of launch operations (or willingness to learn).
Design
Infographic & Graphic Designer
Responsibilities
- Design mission cards, thumbnails, and social graphics.
- Maintain Launch Heaven’s visual style.
- Create quick-turn assets for coverage.
What we’re looking for
- Experience with Adobe, Figma, or similar tools.
- Good visual layout and typography skills.
Tech
API & Tools Developer
Responsibilities
- Build tools for T-0 tracking and mission data.
- Create simple internal dashboards and utilities.
- Integrate external launch and mission data sources.
What we’re looking for
- Experience with APIs and modern web stacks (JS/Python, etc.).
- Clean, maintainable coding habits.
Post-Production
Video Editor & Motion Graphics / 3D Artist
Responsibilities
- Edit launch coverage, shorts, and long-form videos.
- Create motion graphics for mission explainers and overlays.
- Optional: Develop basic 3D elements or scenes for visuals.
What we’re looking for
- Experience editing in Premiere, DaVinci, or similar.
- Some motion graphics or 3D experience is a plus.
Design
UI/UX Designer
Responsibilities
- Help refine layouts and user flows for web and tools.
- Design clean, readable interfaces for internal dashboards.
- Collaborate with devs and content on usability.
What we’re looking for
- Experience with Figma or similar tools.
- Understanding of responsive, accessible UI patterns.
Media
Photographer – Launch & Aviation
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photos of launches, aviation events, and behind-the-scenes.
- Deliver edited images for social, web, and print use.
- Coordinate with the team on shot lists and event coverage plans.
What we’re looking for
- Live near an active launch site or within traveling distance.
Media
Videographer – Launch Coverage & BTS
Responsibilities
- Film launches, events, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Capture b-roll for short-form and long-form edits.
- Coordinate shot lists and story beats with the team.
